The obverse/front of the Goldback depicts the personification of “Veritas/Truth”. She stands tall wearing a long gown while holding a candle. A hawk flies in front of her while a moose stands in the background behind a colonial cottage.

The reverse/back of the Goldback features a negative image of the front design. This serves as a security feature to better protect the New Hampshire Goldbacks from counterfeiting attempts.

The idea for these incredible gold bills was conceived by Jeremy Cordon, now the president of Goldback, Inc. After further developing his idea with business partner Chris Jensen, the first Goldbacks were produced by printing company Valaurum. The decision to feature the “lady virtues” on the notes was made because Jeremy and Chris believed these virtues “are fundamental to the peace and prosperity we enjoy and are the cornerstone of western civilization.”
